Illustrations and Animations:

NYC Ballet:

The voice over for this gfx discussing how the outfits change based on acts, calling out the fabric and color changes that occur. I wanted it to feel like a paper theatre cut out. For the stage illustration, I went with a loose/sketchy style inspired by theaters from early 19th century, same period the ballet takes place.
I needed to leave space on the bottom for color swatches placed by the video editor.

Sex and The City: And Just Like That:

To add visual interest to the collage of photos of each characters, I pulled inspiration for the illustrations from the outfits, character details, and comments from the the voice over.
